In the third quarter of 2024, the top five music and podcast apps on a unified platform in France exhibited diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $1.56M at the beginning of July and rising to around $1.72M by the end of September. Weekly downloads, on the other hand, showed a gradual decline from 42.3K to 35.3K over the same period. Active users saw a steady growth, increasing from 3.6M to 3.8M by quarter's end.

Spotify - Music and Podcasts maintained a stable revenue stream, with weekly earnings fluctuating between $149K and $196K. Downloads peaked at 86.3K mid-quarter before settling at about 71.5K in the last week of September. The app's weekly active users remained relatively constant, oscillating slightly around 13.5M throughout the quarter.

YouTube Music showed a varied revenue trend, starting at $176K, dipping mid-quarter, and peaking again at $194K at the end of September. Downloads decreased gradually from 23K to 21.2K. Active users increased, reaching over 6.3M by the end of the quarter.

SoundCloud: Discover New Music had a modest revenue increase, starting at $61.9K and ending at $81.1K. Downloads mostly hovered around 20K, with a slight peak mid-September. Active users showed a rising trend, ending the quarter at approximately 1.78M.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts experienced fluctuations in revenue, beginning at $68.1K and seeing a peak of $71.3K towards the end of September. Downloads decreased from 28.7K to 20.4K, while active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 430K throughout the quarter.
